On 18-21 September 2018 in Berlin, Germany, a line of Russian-made trams will be presented for the first time in the international arena within the framework of the largest exhibition of railway transport InnoTrans 2018.

Moscow, November 7, 2017 – UC RUSAL (SEHK: 486, Euronext: RUSAL/RUAL, Moscow Exchange: RUAL), a leading global aluminium producer, is pleased to announce that it will be supplying approximately 510 tonnes of aluminium to be used in the production of aluminium tram interiors. As part of the project, UC RUSAL will provide aluminium for a total of 300 tram interiors. This is the world’s largest contract to purchase trams for a single city.

A relatively short but important extension of the Moscow tram network from Lesnaya to the Belorusskaya railway and metro stations at Tverskaya Zastava square opened on September 9, as part of celebrations to mark the city’s 870th anniversary. This is the first tram extension in the central area of Moscowfor many years.

The new trams will be equipped with satellite navigation, video cameras and a special climate control system.

Tram tracks will be extended towards Belorussky Railway Station with a new bus turnaround on Tverskaya Zastava Square.
